As a Principal of Gershman Partners, Eric leads in the planning and execution of the firm’s short and long-term growth strategies, as well as oversight of the in-office daily flow and financial operations. With a vast array of experiences, Eric brings significant development experience to every partnership initiative ensuring its overall success and sustainability. His long‐term vision starts with complex site acquisitions, right‐to‐build issues and ultimately creative site designs and layouts. Eric understands the importance of financial engineering and attention to detail as projects mature from initial site layouts to reality; then ultimately, long‐term investments in the portfolio.
Eric is noted as the Lead Developer for a part of the Shoppes at Prairie Ridge, a 350,000 square foot retail project in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; Penn Circle Apartments and The Bridges, both in Carmel, Indiana; Hamilton Town Center in Noblesville, Indiana; and the re‐development of the historic Marott Center along the Mass Ave Cultural District in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana with the addition of the Marietta on Mass Ave, home office to Gershman Partners.
His current pipeline consists of a newly acquired partnership (previously partnered on Indianapolis' Lockerbie Marketplace) with Citimark, the 420,500 square foot Market Square Center; a partnership with Deylen Realty on Ardmore in downtown Indianapolis - combining 123,024 square foot of Residential + 20,000 square feet of Retail mixed-use space; and currently underway: a wellness center at Park Tudor School and two separate re-development projects in Broad Ripple Village - Indianapolis, Indiana.
Eric is a diehard Michigan fan, alum, and supporter of U of M's Ross School of Business. He is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Big Green, Indy Chamber, iNDYfRINGE, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Indiana Sports Corporation, and Park Tudor School.
Outside of the office, Eric enjoys time with family, tennis & golf, Pacers basketball and Indianapolis Indians games.
The most random thing in Eric's office is a Jay-Z: UnPlugged vinyl record album (and yes, he has a record player too).
